Dec 28,  · These tracks got Santana into the 'pop'/rock scene and mutli-million selling LPdom. If you judge an album by its cover, buy this one to buy. Don't let your Mum see it (not when it was originally released anyway). Appears in countless top LP's of all time. Don't let that put you off. Choice tracks: as above and 'Se A Cabo', 'Samba Pati Ti'/5().

THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE DTS CD VERSION OF SANTANA'S ABRAXAS ALBUM. Back in I was one of those stereo guys who bought the latest 4 channel SQ Quadraphonic equipment. One of the first Quad vinyl albums I got was Santana's ABRAXAS. The 4 channel Quad re-mix was fantastic. Wind and cymbals swirling around the room/5().

One of the first Quad vinyl albums I got was Santana's ABRAXAS. The 4 channel Quad re-mix was fantastic. Wind and cymbals swirling around the room. Carlos's great solos moving from speaker to speaker with the beat. None of that happens in the original regular stereo mix. This entire album was completely re-mixed just for the Quad LP release/5(K).

Released in , Abraxas, Santana's second album, sees the band expanding its already wildly diverse Latin rock sound by adding deeper elements of blues and jazz to the sizzling mix. Abraxas is home to two more of the group's signature monster hits: the hypnotic, rhythmically hectic interpretations of Tito Puente's "Oye Como Va" and Fleetwood Mac's "Black Magic Woman." Sundazed's exact vinyl.
